Gear For Groms

Gear for Groms is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making snowsports accessible to youth in Avery County and neighboring communities. By partnering with local organizations and school systems, Gear for Groms provides equipment and facilitates programs like Slope Seekers. This all-expenses-paid instructional course gives students the opportunity to learn and enjoy skiing and snowboarding at Beech Mountain. Gear for Groms gratefully accepts monetary donations to support its programs, as well as gently used ski and snowboard gear to be recycled back into the community. Grom – noun – A fearless, stoked beginner in action sports with big energy and big dreams, usually age 16 or younger.
