Connecting Business, Community, and Opportunity
Welcome to the Avery County Chamber of Commerce, where community and commerce come together. As a cornerstone of business and tourism in Avery County, we are dedicated to promoting economic growth, supporting local businesses, and enhancing the quality of life for our residents and visitors alike.
Connect, Support , & Inspire
Our History
Avery County is one of the youngest counties within North Carolina, but it carries a rich culture, stunning natural views, and friendly people.
From its first prominent industry, Christmas tree farming, the county has grown into a prosperous community of businesses and organizations. With stunning destinations, like Grandfather Mountain and Beech Mountain Resort, leaders in education, Lees-McRae College and Mayland Community College, and unique festivals, The Woolly Worm Festival and Beech Mountain’s Mile High Kite Festival, Avery County is diverse, but unified.
Our Mission
To connect and support the diverse businesses, organizations, and community of Avery County through education, workshops, and events that inspire an engaged, thriving community.
Our Vision
To be a trusted collaborator in growing a vibrant, sustainable, and diverse business climate that encourages prosperity.
Our Purpose
The Avery County Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)(6) non-profit, membership-based business association serving the community in Avery County and the surrounding regions. The Chamber’s programs and services focus on the three overarching priorities reflected in its mission statement. The Chamber is not affiliated with any municipal or county government.
