Explore the Linville Gorge. On a clear day you can see all the way to Charlotte! Avery County is North Carolina’s 100th county, the last to be ratified in the state.

The Avery County Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center is located at the Shoppes at Tynecastle and is open five days a week staffed with knowledgeable and friendly employees available to answer your questions.

Visitor Center Schedule
The Avery County Chamber of Commerce is open to the public as of June 1 with safety measures in place.
