The Avery County Farmers Market has everything from locally grown fresh produce, honey, jellies, mushrooms, fresh breads, cheese, organic meats, fresh flowers, garlic, homemade crafts and fresh eggs!
The markets are located in the towns of Banner Elk and Newland. The Banner Elk location is on Tate Lawn of Lees-McRae College on Thursday evenings from 5pm-7pm, opening on the last Thursday of April until the week before Labor Day. The Newland location is at the Newland Elementary School, upper parking lot, Saturday mornings from 8 am-noon, open
