Chef Bill Greene’s Artisanal Restaurant is a delightful culinary experience. Artisanal means hand crafted, and so all recipes are made from scratch, and all food is prepared in-house. As an Avery County native, Bill Greene made his way back home after cooking in some rather famous restaurants like Le Cirque in NY.

Artisanal moved in 2009 to 1200 Dobbins Road in Banner Elk . This new location is amazing for its ”Rustic Elegance”. Dine in the main room overlooking the open kitchen or dine creek-side on the beautiful terrace or in the rustic lounge. Reserve the wine room/private dining for your next social event.

Artisanal has developed an exclusive partnership with Spring-house Farm, one of the top, 100% certified organic farms in the mountains of NC. With our exclusive agreement, the restaurant and farm coordinate the growing seasons to insure that the freshest ingredients are available daily. We can also experiment with produce that has never before been commercially grown in the Western North Carolina mountains.
