SUMMARY:Independence Day Celebration on Beech Mountain
DESCRIPTION:Beech Mountain Resort will host a Fourth of July celebration on Saturday\, July 4th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the Play Yard slope\, located just outside the Lodge. The evening will feature live music\, family-friendly activities\, vendors\, and a fireworks display at dusk. \nThe Pressley Laton Band will take the stage\, delivering live music throughout the evening\, alongside DJ Pete Welter\, who will keep the energy going with a mix of family-friendly tunes. \nGuests can enjoy a variety of food and vendors\, including Queso’s Ice Cream Truck\, Third Eye Coffee\, and Leisa’s Kettle Corn\, along with goods from Pink Moon Beech by Tabitha Tindale\, Stony Fork Dyes\, Atta Girl Boutique\, Integral Disc Dyes\, and Bob Wright Leatherworks. Agape Farms Face Painting will be on site\, along with balloon twisting and inflatable attractions for children. \nInside the Lodge\, the Beech Mountain Chamber of Commerce will host its annual roasting of the hog fundraiser. A long-standing community tradition\, the roast is prepared by local volunteers\, with proceeds supporting a range of community initiatives. Guests can enjoy slow-cooked barbeque pork and turkey plates available for purchase. \nBeech Mountain Resort will also offer a full bar with beer\, wine\, and cocktails available for guests throughout the evening. Attendees are encouraged to bring camping chairs or blankets to enjoy the concert and festivities comfortably on the slope. \nThe event is free and open to the public. Fireworks will begin at dusk. Guests should plan for increased traffic\, larger crowds\, and are encouraged to arrive early.

Your $30 ticket includes a round-trip lift ride and a one-hour class from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. \nClasses take place every Saturday and Sunday from June 6 to September 6 on the satellite deck next to 5\,506′\, providing a more intimate setting. Participants must check-in at the retail shop located in the village by 9:45 a.m. sharp and board the lift by 10:00 a.m. at the absolute latest. \nOur instructors bring a wealth of knowledge and years of experience from all over the High Country. Stay after class to enjoy drinks or lunch at 5\,506′. Please bring your own mat\, as supplies are limited. Be sure to reserve your spot in advance\, as the class size is limited and often sells out.

DESCRIPTION:Run the Beech is a running/walking race series on Beech Mountain that has the goal of offering an outdoor activity that is affordable and for all abilities. This series consists of 3 races from June 19 – July 25 that will highlight the unique terrain that Beech has to offer. All races are on Friday evening\, starting at 6pm. Each race will be at a different location within Beech Mountain town limits and will offer a short course (1-2 miles) and a long course (3-4 miles). Sign up for all of them for $45 or join us for one for $15! You will receive a t-shirt when you sign up for all 3\, or purchase one for $15. T-shirt size only guaranteed to those who pre-register for the entire series by June 1. Food and drink included at every course with every race registration.

DESCRIPTION:Explore the mountain after hours with your own personal guides during our Grandfather by Night series! You’ll discover some of the park’s nighttime wonders\, watch a stunning sunset (weather permitting) and experience the mountain as never before! \nThe evening starts atop Grandfather Mountain at the Mile High Swinging Bridge\, where participants can explore and observe sunset from this lofty vantage point. During this time\, park educators will be on hand to discuss the unique flora and crepuscular (active during twilight) fauna that call Grandfather home. \nIn-park transportation is provided. Each Grandfather by Night event is limited to 24 participants. Advance registration is required. Please note: This event is for individuals eight years of age and older. \nWe are offering two versions of our Grandfather by Night series this year\, Grandfather by Night: Twilight Hike and Grandfather by Night: Naturalist Program. \nThis event is a Grandfather by Night: Naturalist Program. \nThe Naturalist Program version of Grandfather by Night includes an outdoor interpretive program about flora\, fauna\, folklore and other topics after sunset. This edition of the event series is held outdoors and is accessible for those in a wheelchair or with limited mobility. \nGrandfather Mountain’s vehicle fleet includes a 12-seat shuttle that has a 1\,000-pound Braun Lift and accommodates an additional two people in wheelchairs. During the ticket purchase process\, please note if anyone you purchased a ticket for has any accessibility needs so that the proper transportation can be arranged. You may also reach out to the Grandfather Mountain office (828-733-2013) to share this information. \nThe event starts for registered participants at 8 p.m. In-park transportation will be provided. \nLearn more about this event series\, the two versions of programming and all Grandfather by Night dates. \nThis event costs $50 for general admission and $42 for members of Grandfather Mountain’s Bridge Club – plus tax. Registration opens on this page on April 20\, 2026\, at 10 a.m. \nBridge Club Members\, click here to purchase tickets.\nYou will need to use your Bridge Club member number (located on your card below the barcode) to purchase. \nNon-Bridge Club Members\, click here to purchase tickets. \nWhat to Bring?\nYou should be prepared for a variety of mountain weather conditions and temperatures.
