Your $30 ticket includes a round-trip lift ride and a one-hour class from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. \nClasses take place every Saturday and Sunday from June 6 to September 6 on the satellite deck next to 5\,506′\, providing a more intimate setting. Participants must check-in at the retail shop located in the village by 9:45 a.m. sharp and board the lift by 10:00 a.m. at the absolute latest. \nOur instructors bring a wealth of knowledge and years of experience from all over the High Country. Stay after class to enjoy drinks or lunch at 5\,506′. Please bring your own mat\, as supplies are limited. Be sure to reserve your spot in advance\, as the class size is limited and often sells out.

DESCRIPTION:Beech Mountain Resort continues its Food Truck Rodeo series at 5506′\, offering another evening of food\, music\, and mountaintop views. Held at 5\,506 feet\, the event features a curated mix of vendors in a casual\, open air setting\, complemented by live DJ entertainment and a full bar. Food vendors for the evening include Claudia’s\, Local Roots\, Ono Poke Bowl\, Diggy Donuts\, and Little Wing Ice Cream. Craft vendors Agape Farms Face Painting and Pink Moon Beech by Tabitha Tindale will also be on site. The event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is accessible via scenic lift ride only. No parking is available at the summit. Scenic lift rides are available for purchase in the retail shop in the resort village\, located next to Lift 5\, until 7 p.m.\, with the final ride up shortly after. Return lift service begins at 8 p.m.

While you’re there\, grab a bite from Claudia’s Authentic Mexican Grill\, serving authentic wood fired Mexican fare at the summit. \nThis free music series is open to everyone. The only cost is the scenic lift ride to reach the top of the mountain. \nImportant notes for guests:\n• There is no parking at the summit. Guests must take the scenic lift ride to access 5506′.\n• Music takes place outdoors at the summit.\n• In the event of rain\, performances move to the Taproom in the village. \nCome ride the lift\, take in the views\, and enjoy live music above the clouds every Saturday at 5506′. \nSaturday\, September 5\nLive music with Prettier Than Matt\, an americana pop band from Columbia\, SC. DESCRIPTION:Explore the mountain after hours with your own personal guides during our Grandfather by Night series! You’ll discover some of the park’s nighttime wonders\, watch a stunning sunset (weather permitting) and experience the mountain as never before! \nThe evening starts atop Grandfather Mountain at the Mile High Swinging Bridge\, where participants can explore and observe sunset from this lofty vantage point. During this time\, park educators will be on hand to discuss the unique flora and crepuscular (active during twilight) fauna that call Grandfather home. \nIn-park transportation is provided. Each Grandfather by Night event is limited to 24 participants. Advance registration is required. Please note: This event is for individuals eight years of age and older. \nWe are offering two versions of our Grandfather by Night series this year\, Grandfather by Night: Twilight Hike and Grandfather by Night: Naturalist Program. \nThis event is a Grandfather by Night: Twilight Hike. \nThe Twilight Hike version will include a hike after sunset to discuss and look for the creatures that are more active after the sun goes down. The group will explore a unique forest ecosystem from top to bottom in search of salamanders\, owls\, flying squirrels\, fireflies and any other creatures they might come across. The Twilight Hike program is not accessible to guests with limited mobility. Participants signed up for this version will need to participate in the hike\, as staying behind while the rest of the group hikes is not possible. \nThis event costs $50 for general admission and $42 for members of Grandfather Mountain’s Bridge Club – plus tax. Registration opens on this page on July 6\, 2026\, at 10 a.m.
