About Our Guest Speaker:
Jonathan W. Yarbrough is a partner in the law firm of Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete, LLP. The firm is dedicated to representing management exclusively in all aspects of the employment relationship. Mr. Yarbrough’s practice includes providing advice and counsel to employers on compliance with the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and wage and hour laws, in addition to other federal and state employment laws.
He has successfully represented clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, and the United States and North Carolina departments of labor, among other federal and state agencies. Mr. Yarbrough is a frequent speaker on employment law topics and was a significant contributor to North Carolina Employment Law, a treatise on state employment law published by Lexis Law Publishing.
He is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in North Carolina, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Yarbrough holds degrees from Wake Forest University and the University of Louisville School of Law.
