The 21st Annual Fine Art and Master Craft Festival sponsored by the Avery County Chamber returns to the quaint one red light town of Banner Elk. This juried art and master craft festival will host 85 artisans with local ties to the community and artisans who have studied and trained internationally.  Come join the Chamber on the lawn of the Historic Banner Elk Elementary School in downtown Banner Elk on July 20th, 21st and 22nd and again on August 18th and 19th.

The Avery County Chamber represents 85 juried artisans, some from our region and some from all around the world who sell unique handcrafted items such as pottery, wood and burral bowls, some so amazing its hard to imagine they were from a growth on a tree, stated Director, Susan Freeman. Need a new look for your mountain or low country home or a special jewel for you or someone special? We have artists showcasing their original pieces of customized jewelry, furniture, mosaic tables and so many more mediums.

 

This free family festival has added an extra day to its event, to accommodate visitor’s schedules who may not be able to attend on Saturday. So come embrace the cooler temperatures under the High Country sky beginning Friday from 4-8 pm, Saturday 10-5, and Sunday 10-4. Then stay after and enjoy a nice dinner at our local restaurants or stroll the Banner Elk Greenway.
