The Woolly Worm Ball

Buckeye Recreation Center on the top of Beech Mountain at 206 Grass Gap Creek Road.

The Woolly Worm Festival kicks off the week with the unique Woolly Worm Ball on Saturday October 9 at 6:30 p.m. This year’s event is one you will not want to miss!


Bring a friend, as two are cheaper than one and so much more fun! Tickets are 2 for $50, $30 per individual and Dress is fanciful fun! So grab some friends and come dance the night away at the Buckeye Recreation Center located on Beech Mountain. Live music by the Whip Daddies and special performances by John “Elvis” Greene and special appearance by Carrie Stewart doing her great songs of a country legand, Dolly Parton..

Bring your dance shoes because we will be selecting a new Woolly Worm King and Queen to reign over Avery County. The Winners will be chosen during the dance contest song “the Woolly Bully” what else could dancers expect!

Your ticket price includes heavy hors d’oeuvres and one drink. Bid on silent auction items, with all proceeds going to promote kids, tourism and small business in our Avery County communities.
