The Woolly Worm Festival kicks off the week with the unique Woolly Worm Ball on Saturday October 10 at 6:30 p.m. This year’s event is one you will not want to miss!
Tickets are $50 per couple, $30 per individual and Dress is fanciful fun! So grab a partner and come dance the night away at the Buckeye Recreation Center located on Beech Mountain. Live music by the Whip Daddies and special performances by John “Elvis” Greene and special appearance music by Carrie Pitman doing here great songs of country Dolly Pardon and Patsy Kline.
Bring your dance shoes because we will be selecting a Woolly Worm Ball King and Queen to reign over Avery County.
The Winners will be chosen during the dance contest song “the Woolly Bully” what else could dancers expect!
Your ticket price includes heavy hors d’oeuvres prepared by the Alpen Restaurant & Bar, located at 700 Beech Mountain Parkway, it also includes one drink with your ticket, bid on silent auction items, with all silent auction proceeds going to promote the Buckeye Recreation Center Kids playground expansion and tourism and small business in our Avery County communities.
